This Replacement User Interface Control Panel is engineered specifically for Alpine HP41, HP42, and HP75c pellet stoves.
These models use a thermocouple-based Proof of Fire system, which is fundamentally different from standard ComfortBilt control panels that rely on a heat-activated snap disc.
⚠️ This control panel is NOT interchangeable with standard ComfortBilt replacement panels. The programming is specific to the Alpine thermocouple-based system.
🔥 Proof of Fire Programming Difference
This control panel is specifically programmed to interpret the temperature range provided by a thermocouple sensor to establish Proof of Fire.
The Alpine system uses:
- Thermocouple-based temperature range verification
- Continuous temperature monitoring
Standard ComfortBilt systems typically use:
- Heat-activated snap disc
- Simple yes/no (open/closed) signal
Because these systems operate differently, using an incorrectly programmed control panel may result in improper startup or failure to operate.
⚠️ IMPORTANT — Current PCM Compatibility
There is now only one current version of this Alpine User Interface Control Panel.
The current panel is designed for use with the fully yellow transformer PCM / motherboard.
The previous control panel designed for the older half-yellow / half-red transformer PCM is no longer available.
HP41 & HP42 Owners
If your HP41 or HP42 already has a PCM with a fully yellow transformer, this is the correct current replacement User Interface Control Panel.
If your stove still has the older PCM with a half-yellow / half-red transformer, this new control panel cannot be used with that older PCM.
To install the current replacement control panel on an HP41 or HP42 equipped with the older red/yellow PCM, you must:
- Replace the older half-yellow / half-red PCM
- Install the current fully yellow transformer PCM
- Install this current User Interface Control Panel
⚠️ The current fully yellow-version User Interface Control Panel and the older half-yellow / half-red PCM are NOT compatible.
The PCM and User Interface Control Panel must be upgraded together when converting an older HP41 or HP42 system.
HP75c Model
The HP75c uses the current supported PCM and User Interface Control Panel configuration.
No red/yellow control panel option is offered.
How to Check Your PCM — HP41 & HP42
Before ordering, check the PCM / motherboard installed in your stove.
The PCM is housed inside a black plastic enclosure. The transformer color can be seen through the square cutout window in the PCM lid.
Fully Yellow Transformer
If the transformer is entirely yellow, your stove is using the current configuration and this User Interface Control Panel is compatible.
Half Yellow / Half Red Transformer
If the transformer is yellow and red, your stove is using the older configuration.
You will need to replace the PCM with the current fully yellow transformer version before using this control panel.
Compatible PCM / Motherboard
For HP41 and HP42 stoves, this control panel must be paired with the current fully yellow transformer PCM / motherboard.
If your stove has the discontinued half-yellow / half-red PCM, both the PCM and User Interface Control Panel must be replaced with the current versions.
A compatible 4-wire data cable is used to connect the User Interface Control Panel to the PCM.
❌ Not Compatible With
- Standard ComfortBilt User Interface Control Panels
- Standard snap-disc Proof of Fire programming
- Older half-yellow / half-red transformer PCM boards
- Unsupported PCM boards or wiring configurations
Model Selection
Select the appropriate stove model when ordering:
- Alpine HP41
- Alpine HP42
- Alpine HP75c
There is no longer a red/yellow versus fully yellow PCM version to select.
All current replacement panels are supplied for the current fully yellow PCM configuration.
Condition & Cosmetic Disclosure
Please Note: This control panel is brand new and fully functional. The plastic housing may show minor cosmetic scuffs or surface imperfections. These are cosmetic only and do not affect performance.
This is due to the manufacturer’s eco-friendly practice of reusing plastic casings to reduce waste and production costs.
What You’ll Receive
- (1) Replacement User Interface Control Panel
- Programming matched to the selected Alpine stove model
- Designed for the current fully yellow transformer PCM configuration
- Packaging may vary
PCM / motherboard and data cable are not included unless specifically stated or purchased separately.
⚠️ Important Ordering Checklist
Before placing your order, confirm:
- Your stove is an Alpine HP41, HP42, or HP75c
- Your stove uses the thermocouple-based Proof of Fire system
- For an HP41 or HP42, inspect the PCM transformer through the square cutout window
- If the transformer is fully yellow, this current User Interface Control Panel can be used
- If the transformer is half yellow / half red, you must also replace the PCM with the current fully yellow transformer PCM
⚠️ IMPORTANT FOR OLDER HP41 & HP42 STOVES
If your existing PCM has a half-yellow / half-red transformer, do not order this panel as a stand-alone replacement.
The older red/yellow PCM is not compatible with the current User Interface Control Panel. You must upgrade both the PCM and User Interface Control Panel to the current fully yellow configuration.
